Vanessa Chan (She/Her) is a Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist practicing at Fourroux Prosthetics in Birmingham, Alabama. As a 1st generation college student, she earned her Bachelors in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Biomechanics from the University of Florida in 2022. She then graduated with a Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Baylor College of Medicine in 2025.  

As someone who values community, Vanessa strives to help establish and grow APAAPO for individuals like herself, to give them a safe space to express their experiences as an AAPI individual in O&P and feel supported through the unique challenges that we face. 

Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys ultimate frisbee, hiking, building jigsaw puzzles, and doing arts and crafts.
