Elizabeth is currently a clinical orthotics and prosthetics resident with Hanger Clinic in Chicago, Illinois. She completed the dual Masters of Prosthetics & Orthotics Research degree at the Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center (NUPOC) in 2026. Elizabeth is passionate about patient care, as well as clinical research that works to improve access to safe and effective prosthetic and orthotic devices for patients.
Elizabeth joined the Asian Pacific American Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (APAAPO) as a student at Northwestern, with the interest in connecting with and learning from Asian American and Pacific Islander professionals in the field of prosthetics and orthotics. Elizabeth is Japanese American and spent many years of her childhood attending international school in Kyoto, Japan as her mother was working in the field of Global Asian Studies.
In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys running, reading, arts & crafts, and spending time with friends and family.
